Shelly Moore

Shelley is trained in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and acrobatics. She has completed two tertiary degrees – Bachelor of Arts (Media & Communications) and furthermore, a Bachelor of Dance/Bachelor of Education, both from UNSW and with Distinction. Since graduating, Shelley has worked with prominent Contemporary choreographers, has been featured in television commercials for Samsung, KFC, Bonds and AMP, performed at numerous high profile events such as the ARIA Awards Nights and with Melbourne-based contemporary dance company, Chunky Move. Shelley enjoys a wide variety of choreographic and teaching projects such as invited Choreographer for the Australian Girls Choir on several International Tours to Canada, USA and Europe, delivering Contemporary workshops at National and International RAD Summer Schools and representing Australia at the World Aerobics Championships in The Netherlands, as part of the silver medal-winning Fitness Team. She is also the Creative Director of DanceMoore – her own choreography business and Director of Training and Programs for REDed – a prominent and accomplished educational dance business. Shelley is a regular teacher at Sydney Dance Company, an adjudicator for the Sydney Eisteddfod and enjoys travelling to remote Western Australia several times a year to teach dance to Indigenous children with a Performing Arts program called Girls from Oz. Shelley also choreographs for many Primary and Secondary school competition groups and soloists across Sydney, enjoying great success at several major local and international competitions. She was particularly thrilled and honoured to be invited to deliver a series of Contemporary Masterclasses to dancers in Tahiti recently, where she also choreographed for their professional company.
